Q.
What kind of classes do you offer?
A.
We offer Ballet, Tap, Jazz,
and Pointe classes. From time to time we bring in
teachers who can offer other special kinds of dance, such as Hip Hop,
Swing or Line Dancing.

Q.
How long are these classes
and how often do the students need to attend?
A.
Most of the children's classes
are 45 minutes long and the student attends once a week.
Some of our adult and more advanced classes are an hour long and those
classes may also be offered twice or more per week.

Q.
How much
are classes and what kind of payment is accepted?
A.
The 45 minute classes are $9
per class payable monthly in advance on the first class of
the month. Some prices are adjusted for longer classes. There is a
reduced fee for 2 or 3 students from the same family or for a student
taking 2 or 3 classes per week. Classes may be paid by cash, check or
credit/debit card. (Visa or MasterCard)

Q.
May we watch our child in class?
A.
We discourage parents from being
in the classroom during class, our space is limited and
it's distracting for the students, no matter what their age. We invite visitors in to
observe classes in November and again in March. And we have a video camera in the
classroom with a monitor in the waiting area. You are welcome to wait for your student
and watch them be a star on our TV.

Q.
Why should we give our
child dance classes?
A.
Dance, ballet in particular,
is the foundation for a healthy and coordinated body, whether for the grace
and poise of a ballerina or the strength and agility of an athlete.
A solid foundation in dance will benefit a child in many ways for the rest
of his or her life.

Q.
Do your students
have an opportunity to perform?
A.
We do a student recital once a
year in June. It is held in St Joseph High School
Auditorium and we try to make it fun for our students and not too hard on the parents and
their wallets. We start collecting a deposit of $10 per month for the costume in
December. Each student usually needs only one costume and the cost is nearly always
under $50. There will be an additional cost for tickets, but we don't ask students and
parents to sell tickets or to purchase a minimum number. You buy only what you'll need.
We have a photographer take photos of the classes in their lovely costumes and these
photos may be purchased, but there is no obligation to do so.

Q.
My child is not going to be a performer,
is dance class still a good option?
A.
There are many ways in which
dance can be helpful for anyone, from childhood into
adulthood. While in school it's a leg up in athletics or cheerleading
or school plays and talent shows. Dance helps people to be less self-conscious
about speaking in front of a class or a meeting and that confidence will last
a lifetime. Being able to move with poise and confidence serves young people
as they enter the work force. Some of our dancers, both young men and women
have become Blossomtime Royalty a rewarding and fun experience for them.

Q.
Why should we choose your
studio over the others offering dance classes?
A.
Our classes are taught by some
of the best trained instructors anywhere and all of them
are adults. We're proud of our teen dancers, but they don't teach our
classes. One of the most important things we offer is a safe, friendly
and clean atmosphere. We want the children to love their dance class and
we want their parents to be comfortable and confident with us.

We're always happy to have your input.
Please feel free to ask any questions we haven't answered here and to make suggestions
at any time. If there is anything we can do to improve our studio we want to know.
